Man dead after being hit by tree in east Louisville during severe weather

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – One person has died following the severe weather that pushed through Louisville Sunday afternoon.

Mayor Craig Greenberg confirmed the death in a post on X around 1:40 p.m.

Louisville Metro police said officers responded to an ‘Assist EMS’ run in the 10,700 block of Hobbs Station Road at 12:32 p.m. A man believed to be hit by a tree was found and died before they could be taken to the hospital.

LMPD’s Homicide Unit is conducting a death investigation.
