Most of Memorial Day Weekend has been sunny, hot & humid. That trends changes tomorrow as a weak cold front drifts towards the Gulf Coast.
This frontal boundary will interact with the hot & humid air. This will lead to thunderstorms & potentially severe thunderstorms across the WEAR-TV viewing area.
South Alabama is under a level 2 out of 5 “Slight” risk for severe weather.
Inland portions of Northwest Florida are under a level 1 out of 5 “Marginal” risk for severe weather.
Areas shaded in yellow across Alabama have the better chance of rain & higher risk to see severe weather Monday afternoon – Monday evening.
WHAT: Isolated damaging wind gusts (60 mph + ) & isolated large hail possible. Tornado risk is VERY LOW.
WHERE: Best chance for strong storms in Alabama. Some isolated strong storms could drift into NW Florida.
WHEN: 12 PM – 10 PM CT on Monday.

Tuesday sees the rain move out and the heat build back across Northwest Florida. We’ll have highs in the upper-80s to lower-90s through the remainder of the week. Heat index values (feels-like temperatures) will be near 100 degrees. Stay cool this week.
